Saturday 5th December

10am - 12noon

Would you like to add a traditional feel to your home this Christmas?

Wrap up warm and join us for a festive foraging session in our private little woodland. Holly, ivy, mossy twigs and curly honeysuckle stems plus lots of twiggy bits and textures to add those natural elements to your festive creations.

Add these foraged finds to the large bundle of Nordmann fir that will be ready for you to take home and you could create wreaths, door swags, table decorations, bouquets, vase arrangements, porch pots .....

Although this is not a 'craft' workshop, there will be examples of foliage based decorations on display to help inspire you and for you to ask questions about their construction if required.

We'll end the session with a delicious hot drink [choose from a variety of teas, coffees, hot chocolate or mulled apple juice] and a few festive treats whilst we chat and share about the creative possibilities of what we have foraged.

This is an outdoor activity so you will need to wear warm layers. Sturdy boots or wellingtons are required as the woodland floor may be wet and muddy.

Sorry no dogs.

You will take home a large bundle of locally [Bolton] grown Nordmann fir, your bag full of foraged goodies plus lots of ideas of what you can create at home.

What to bring with you: a 'bag for life' type bag and a pair of secateurs. Don't worry if you forget, or don't have any as we have lots of spare you can use.

This activity will last up to 2 hours and is held at Cherry Tree Willow, 42 Bury Old Road, Ainsworth, BL25PF.
