A Creative Woodland Christmas

Come and spend the day here at Cherry Tree Willow getting creative with nature as we move into the Christmas season.
To begin the day Rainy will walk you though her wild little woodland to forage for holly, ivy and textural twiggy bits that catch your eye, then its back to the sheltered outdoor workshop for elevenses.
You'll then be shown the willow patches and instructed how to cut willow rods and make your own wreath base.
Then its hands on creating your own beautiful, sustainable, luxurious Christmas wreath.
Using your handmade willow base and fresh locally grown foliage, seed heads etc, you’ll build your fabulous wreath, and add your own unique touches with your foraged woodland materials.
You are welcome to bring any foliage, seed heads, berries from your own garden, or any specific decorations you would like [we’ve had angels, santas, glittered holly etc) though everything required to make a beautiful wreath is provided for you.
When your wreath is finished you will have the opportunity to create a willow decoration or two of your choice e.g. hearts, stars etc. or to get creative with your foraged finds.
There is unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day as well as a delicious, freshly cooked vegetarian lunch, along with home made treats from the Aga (5* hygiene rating). Semi skimmed cows milk is available with a selection of regular and decaffeinated teas and coffees. Apologies but specific diets cannot be catered for.
If kept in a cool place ie outside, or in an unheated porch, garage etc, your wreath will stay fresh well into the new year.
We will be working under the shelter of the outdoor workshop so please dress accordingly with warm comfortable layers and sturdy footwear.
This workshop is not suitable for those with limited or painful joint mobility.
The session is held at Cherry Tree Willow, 42 Bury Old Road, Ainsworth BL25PF.
Free parking is available on the road outside.
