British grown and British made rope coil willow basket.
 
This tall willow basket was handmade here at Cherry Tree Willow in Ainsworth using traditional basketry techniques with contemporary design.
 
It features an asymmetrical design with a zigzag weaving pattern giving the basket an open airy feel.
Its elegant shape lends itself to decorative use but it is a functional piece too.
I think it would look fabulous full of flowers for a wedding or other function, or maybe an led light, casting pretty shadows in the evening, or simply a rather marvellous basket for carrying items.
 
Willow is the traditional gift for ninth wedding anniversaries too.
