A rooted, potted purpurea willow ready for you to plant in your garden.

 

Salix purpurea Lancashire Dicks is grown here at Cherry Tree Willow without the use of chemicals.

It has a fine rod thats grows to about 5 or 6 foot tall. Lancashire Dicks is one of the smaller willow varieties that I grow but it weaves well. It has a soft pink glow about it in the summer.

 

Name: Salix purpurea Lancashire Dicks

Height: approx 1.5 - 2m

Soil Type: moist, well drained and moderately fertile. Willow will not thrive in sandy, chalky, free draining soils. 

Aspect: full sun

Planting: plant as soon as possible. Keep moist in the pot at all times until planting.

Hardiness: fully hardy

Foliage: deciduous soft green narrow oval leaves. Stem has a pinkish hue.

Catkins: appear in early spring if stems have not been cut back..

Uses: A decorative shrub for the garden. 

Maintenance: Cut stems right back in the winter after leaf fall.

 

Supplied in a 1ltr, recyclable pot of peat free compost.

 

Cherry Tree Willow is registered with, and inspected by, the Animal and Plant Health Agency [APHA] and all living willows are issued with plant passports.
