Hand made living willow heart, freshly cut from willow growing here at Cherry Tree Willow.
 
Choose from three different willow varieties:
 
Salix purpurea Eugenii - pretty pink catkins in spring.
Salix purpurea Cohu Blue - fine green leaves with a purple stem and pretty, tiny silvery catkins from December onwards.
Flanders Red - attractive green red winter colour on the stems.
 
It would make an original Valentine or Mothers Day gift. 
 
Plant outside as soon as possible after delivery. Your willow heart can be planted in a pot or directly into the ground by simply pushing in the bare stem. Keep it well watered and in full sun. Feeding will be required long term if kept in a pot.
Willow is not a house plant and will not thrive if kept indoors.
As the willow heart grows, this deciduous tree puts out a plume of leaves from the 'trunk' and top. The heart itself remains the same height, but gradually thickens over time. When the leaves fall in winter, that years stems can be cut back to maintain its size and shape.
 
Willow is fully hardy in the UK.
The willow heart is posted without soil or roots. It will establish very quickly once planted.
 
Size approx 25cm across and 35cm tall.
